Introducing ScanneryOne: Our New Software for Professional Body Scanning
Over the past months, we have focused our software developments on the BodyLoop scanning workflow. Today, we are releasing ScanneryOne.
Instead of using separate tools to operate the scanner and work with the resulting data, ScanneryOne brings the process into a single interface - from starting the scan to generating measurements, reports and size recommendations.
Much input into ScanneryOne came from our customers using the software in real-life projects. We learned from operators how they use it, collected their feedback and, most importantly, saw where they were losing time or having to work around. Because finally we aim to provide the most efficient system to all operators.
Those observations became the starting point for ScanneryOne.

One of the biggest changes is the option to operate scanners completely offline and remotely online.
The scanner is now part of the ScanneryOne workflow. The operator starts the scan, captures the person and continues working with the result in the same interface.
Scanning one person or hundreds
Not every project needs the same workflow. Scanning a single person in a fitting room is very different from capturing hundreds of people during an outfitting project if speed is crucial. ScanneryOne therefore has two ways of working.
No uncomfortable pose. No time for movement to compromise scan quality. Just accurate measurements, captured instantly.
When scanning individuals, the operator can go straight from the scan to the results. Measurements, reports and size recommendations are generated immediately before the next person steps into the BodyLoop body scanner.
When a large group is to be scanned, the speed of capturing matters most. The operator keeps his focus on scanning while time-consuming computing processes are handled separately. Measurements, reports and size recommendations are generated in parallel without slowing down the capture line.
In our bulk workflow, the next person is scanned every 12 seconds under suitable conditions. That is up to 300 people per hour.
In military terms: a battalion per day. A division per week.
Scanning large groups is an entirely different demand. Here the operator concentrates on guiding the group fast and efficiently through the scanning process. This is particularly useful for uniform and outfitting projects, fitting events and large-scale deployments in police, defence or large corporations.
Once the scan is complete, the computing job changes - and so does the interface. The results area uses a lighter layout for reviewing measurements, checking size recommendations and accessing reports and downloads. Operators of ScanneryOne define the interface regarding language, colors, design and process sequence as they need and like it.
We kept parts of the BodyLoop experience on purpose
We did not want existing BodyLoop operators to sit down in front of ScanneryOne and feel as though they had to learn a completely new scanner.
During capture, the interface therefore stays dark and deliberately close to the familiar BodyLoop look and feel. The controls and information needed while scanning are kept in focus, while everything that is not needed at that moment stays out of the way.
From today on ScanneryOne is the software product for our BodyLoop installations.
We will continue developing as we learn from our operators and customers working with the system every day.
